Carolyn DeithPRIOR TO MY MTB SKILLS DAY, I HAD RIDDEN MY BIKE A HANDFUL OF TIMES AND KNEW NOTHING ABOUT SINGLE TRACK RIDING, IN 6 HOURS I HAVE LEARNED MORE THAN I COULD EVER HAVE EXPECTED AND HAVE CONFIDENCE TO CONTINUE ON. THE STAFF AT MTB WERE ACCOMMODATING AND EXTREMELY THOROUGH AND ABOVE ALL WERE NON-INTIMIDATING DESPITE THEIR EXPERTISE. THANKYOU VERY, VERY MUCH FOR AN AWESOME DAY!Read more...

Learnt heaps, generally speaking the course improved my confidence but specific learnings included learning how to turn tight corners whilst travelling up hill, log roll overs and smoother riding on tight single track.

Lynne PatrickI road-bike alot and MB a little so when it comes to MB my confidence and skills are a bit rocky! I just want to say that I was very nervous going into the course but the instructor, teaching methods and encouragement were brilliant and I feel better equipped to practice and improve my mountain biking abilities. Hope to see you again.Read more...

Just sending you this email to let you know I raced round 2 of the Vic XC series on the weekend. After our training session the other day I went away and re assessed my race strategy.

Alistair EarlesI am struggling to think of a better way that the course could have been run. Well done! I know that there was only one day, and I was exhausted at the end of it anyway, but in an ideal world (where I was 15kg lighter with had heaps of energy) I would have liked to have more flowing repetition. This is dictated a lot by the terrain, but if there was a really short looped trail with a drop off, a jump, a log and a steep section that we could repeat ten times in an hour, I think…Read more...

Bin Dixon-WardI learned Heaps! The biggest was to slow down, get the technique right and not to hammer down out of control! So for me this means, attack position, pushing forward on steep drops, unweighting over logs and step ups and bum back.Read more...

Stewart LewisThe course is conducted in light hearted and encouraging vein. We were given plenty of opportunity to practice each new technical challenge. There was plenty of opportunities to push the envelope later in the day with a range of technical challeges.Read more...

Matt WhiteLooks where I'm going, rather than where I am. Stop & think/review the tracks I'm riding. Weighting & unweighting techniques reinforced. Have more faith in grip of tyres on rocks. Push down with arms while cornering to improve grip. I have a mental issue with the rock berm on boulder track, which I want to overcome.Read more...

I think you have tapped into a sleeping giant. As an outside looking in, your business sense seems spot on, you both have the knowledge and respect of the mountain bike community. Could you improve this clinic? I gave this a lot of thought, and couldn\'t come up with anything, so no!! I haven\'t stopped talking about it. I will recommend you guys to my riding mates who are looking to improve their skills. Good luck with it all.

We are Mountain Bike riders who have developed a simple yet very effective course and set of techniques that will bring out the best in your riding ability.
Your experience level can vary, but generally you have probably ridden a little before and maybe even ride quite a bit, however like many riders before you, you didn''t grow up on a bike and perhaps missed out on many of those most fundamental skills that a effective Mountain Biker needs. We also encourage those riders that a VERY confident on a bike, who want to take that next step, and learn how to go faster, smoother and with less effort... just like the pros do.
All you need is a roadworthy mountain bike, a helmet and the willingness to learn. Our instructors are NOT prima donas, but rather good teachers who love to ride, just like we hope you do too!
Some of our longer duration courses also include an introduction to basic Mountain Bike mechanics, where we will show you how to keep your bike going. The 1/2 day sessions cover a simple check to do before every ride as PREVENTION. We also have provided you with a checklist to ensure you attend with your equipment in working order.
Have you dreamed of riding better? Do you want to start racing, or do you want to step up a level? Come and do one of our camps and you will have a ball with like minded cyclists and learn a thing or two.
