How to tackle a corner while going down a small hill, so as not to feel afraid of going too fast and coming off.

The course was superbly and professionally organised, with encouraging, knowledgeable instructors. It was inclusive of all levels, and as such really developed my confidence and skills. Thank you for a great day, I'll be back for another course soon

Had an absolute blast. After trying to learn MTBing by myself for quite some time, I realised I had picked up some bad habits. This was a great opportunity to learn correct technique that will help my riding.

Really enjoy the trails out there as always. It was great to get advice on line choice / setting up for obstacles - with which I managed to nail a drop on Mariner's on my second go which I kept stuffing on previous visits to Forrest. The fact it became second nature when I hit it a couple more times later in the day means you've managed to get me setting up for trail features a bit better already.

PRIOR TO MY MTB SKILLS DAY, I HAD RIDDEN MY BIKE A HANDFUL OF TIMES AND KNEW NOTHING ABOUT SINGLE TRACK RIDING, IN 6 HOURS I HAVE LEARNED MORE THAN I COULD EVER HAVE EXPECTED AND HAVE CONFIDENCE TO CONTINUE ON. THE STAFF AT MTB WERE ACCOMMODATING AND EXTREMELY THOROUGH AND ABOVE ALL WERE NON-INTIMIDATING DESPITE THEIR EXPERTISE. THANKYOU VERY, VERY MUCH FOR AN AWESOME DAY!

Improving these clinics would be hard, this one was very well run and thoroughly enjoyable and as I told Norm at the end of the day, I could not turn the pedals any more if I tried but I had learned a lot - this was perfect.

I learnt basic techniques and body awareness (where my body is and where it should be). I also learnt that I am not that crap. This may sound like a weird thing to learn but I have been reluctant to join a riding group in Vic. with people that I don?t know because of the potential embarrassment factor. Up until now, I have been meeting with friends from Canberra to ride, which doesn?t happen often enough to build fitness and skills. But now I am keen to get stuck into MTB riding and join a group and maybe even build…

"I learnt many things, but the two most important: to concentrate on the course, not boys' bums in front of me; and watch out for black boys - they're tough little things!"

Norm had some great phrases that were excellent visual/verbal markers to improving technique. Although I still don\'t understand SLOW DOWN. Can you think of something for that one?

"It was better than I imagined it would be. Despite the testing weather, I had an asbolute ball. It was great to meet so many people who love mountain biking and were there to simply mountain bike. No work discussions. No thoughts about stresses at home. All of that was left behind and all I cared about was enjoying the moment."
