Pushing arms rather than lifting the front wheel over obstacles, particularly drop-offs; it is never is as scary as it looks (well at least that day); individual attention shown was great; encouragement without feeling any pressure to do something I didn\'t feel ready for

I think you have tapped into a sleeping giant. As an outside looking in, your business sense seems spot on, you both have the knowledge and respect of the mountain bike community. Could you improve this clinic? I gave this a lot of thought, and couldn\'t come up with anything, so no!! I haven\'t stopped talking about it. I will recommend you guys to my riding mates who are looking to improve their skills. Good luck with it all.

I knew nothing about MTB, now know riding position, weight transfers, rolling over logs and rocks, better understand the way MTBs work on uneven surfaces, what fat tyres like to grip on better, can't ride a MTB like a road bike, eventhough you may not be a natural to MTB riding, you're never too old to learn something new, lots of big bad bruises on the legs make you look tough

I learned Heaps! The biggest was to slow down, get the technique right and not to hammer down out of control! So for me this means, attack position, pushing forward on steep drops, unweighting over logs and step ups and bum back.

I learn a variety of things, some of them direct (how to launch and maintain a controlled trajectory) and some of them kinaesthetic which need to bed in a bit more... (ie I need to get out and ride...)

The course was well worth doing! I can ride a bike confidently, but needed help with my technique for mtb. Now I feel confident enough to tackle small obstacles that I didn't think I could do! Thanks for such an awesome day!

What a fantastic experience. Normally rainy days keep me at home, but the skills clinic had me clearing obstacles and railing berms with a new found confidence in the rain and mud. A great way to learn new skills and get off the couch! A must do for any rider

Instructors were brilliant, and pateient. The best aspect of the course for me, was to be riding with an instructor who was confident and whom i trusted, not to get me killed!

Even if you only pick up one or two new techniques and a little extra confidence (and you will) you will ride away from this course a faster, safer rider. Time and money very well spent.

Thank you for a great day, had a lot of fun and learned lots of techniques that I can't wait to get out and practice, improve and develop into skills! Am fired up and ready to race with more confidence and will keep off that front brake! And we didn't mind Norm being the only male, he blended in well! Look forward to another course once I've mastered the basics. Thank you again.

Q. I'm very new to mountain biking, I'm worried I will be the only beginner at the course.  Will I be made to feel stupid?
A.
You are the reason we exist!  Everyone had to start somewhere, and we can show you the techniques you will need to become more confident on a mountain bike, in a fun and reassuring manner.

Q. My fitness is very low, do I need to get in shape first?
A.
When you register for one of our clinics, you will fill in a form asking about your current riding ability.  You will then be put into a group of people similar to your own level.  On average most groups cover less than 10km over a 4 hour clinic.

Q. I'm not as young as I used to be, can I still join in?
A.
To date our oldest participant has been more than 65 years old.  So long as you and your doctor think you are ok to attend, then we will welcome you.

Q. My child wants to improve their mountain bike skills, is your course right for them?
A. Our minimum age is 13 years old, and so long as you think your child is mature enough to be in with a group of adults for a minimum of 4 hours, then they are welcome.

Q. I don't know how to ride a bike yet, will you teach me how to ride a bike from scratch?
A.
No. Our clinics are designed to cater for Cycling enthusiasts, who already know how to ride a bike.

Q. Do you cater to groups of school children.
A.
Currently No.

Q. I'm a keen downhill mountain biker, and want to learn how to boost mega gaps on my 8 inch travel bike, are your clinics for me?
A.
No.  Our clinics have a definate XC (cross country) flavour to them.  Whilst we won't descriminate we do ride UP hills as well as down.

Q. My bike is very old without any suspension, can I use it?
A.
So long as your bike is checked by a bicycle mechanic and is in good condition.  However as a beginner you will find it much better with a modern mountain bike that has some suspension, we can help with hire from one of our partners.

Q. My bike is a HYBRID with 700c skinny wheels, is it suitable.
A.
The only requirement for our clinics is a good condition Mountain bike.  This means a 26 or 29 inch Mountain Bike, that can accept at least 1.9inch knobby tyres

Q. What if it rains on the day, what happens?
A. You get wet!  Our clinics will only ever be cancelled or postponed due to dangerous conditions.  Rain is quite common in the areas we conduct clinics, and in fact the trails are often nicer with some rain. As always our cancellation policy applies.

Q. Can I book for a private or small group clinic
A. Yes, however due to our busy schedule we are normally only available for private lessons mid week.  Contact us for more details.

Q. My stock portfolio went down 5 points last month, should I sell?
A.
Yes, and buy more bikes, so you can ride more oftern.
